You can set Job script preferences in Talend Studio. To do so:

  1. From the menu bar, click Window > Preferences to open the [Preferences] dialog box.

  2. Expand the Jobscript node and click the Syntax Coloring to define the color of the different text elements.

  3. In the Token Styles list, select the text element you want to modify the style of.

  4. Click the Color or Background button to respectively change the color of the text or background.

  5. In the Style area, select style you want to apply to the text.

  6. In the Font field, click Change... to change the font of the text.

  7. Click Apply to apply the changes and OK to close the wizard.

From Job script preferences, you can also create templates.

  1. Expand the Jobscript node and click the Templates to define Job script templates.

  2. Click New... to add a new template. The [New template] wizard opens.

  3. In the Name field, type in the name of your template.

  4. In the Context list, select the context in which the template will be proposed in the job script when you press Ctrl+Space.

  5. Select the Automatically insert check box if you want the template to expand automatically on Ctrl+Space when there is no other matching template available.

  6. In the Description field, type in a description of your template, if needed.

  7. In the Pattern field, type in the template.

  8. Click Insert Variable... to insert a variable in your template.

  9. Click OK to go back to the template list. Your template displays in the list.

  10. Click Apply to apply your changes and OK to close the wizard.

From the Job script template preference, you can also edit, delete, import or export templates.
