Creating a physical data model

Before you begin

  • You have a Talend Data Catalog Advanced Plus license edition.

  • You have been assigned an object role with the Metadata Management capability.

Procedure

  1. Go to MANAGE > Configuration.
  2. Click the Add button.
  3. Select Physical Data Model.
  4. Fill in the following parameters.
    Field Description
    Name Enter a name.
    Description Enter a description.
    Import Server

    You can also harvest using a remote harvesting server.
    Import Bridge Select a bridge from the list.
  5. Click OK.
  6. From the Import Setup tab, configure the import parameters.
  7. Click Save.
  8. Click Import.
  9. Click the Open button to review and edit the physical data model.
