Talend MDM implementations where master data records are stored in a SQL database include a Staging Area in which data is stored pending validation. This Staging Area is a mirror of the SQL storage area containing the master data records, but with fewer constraints in its schema.
Prerequisite: You have been assigned a role with the appropriate user authorization and access rights.
In Talend MDM Web UI, you can trigger the transfer of these records from the Staging Area to the live master database. This transfer is called a staging area validation task because it validates the records in the Staging Area against pre-defined MDM validation rules (such as XSD, Security and Validation rules) that are managed in the Talend Studio.
