Data Fabric

MDM Platform

Before you begin

  • Make sure you have read and write access to the folder where the MDM server will be installed (/home/talend for example).

Warning:
  • It is highly recommended that the full path to the server installation directory is as short as possible and does not contain any space character.
  • If you already have a suitable JRE installed in a path with a space, you need to put quotes around the path when setting the values for the environmental variable.

Procedure

  1. Open the terminal.
  2. Change the working directory to where the Talend MDM Server installer is located.
  3. Enter the following command, and then press the Enter key on your keyboard to launch the installation procedure through this text-only interface.
    java -Dfile.encoding=UTF-8 -jar <jar name>.jar -console
  4. Follow the instructions to install the MDM server.
