Installation and Upgrade

You can import into a target environment a single data model exported from your source environment. The source and target environments should belong to the same product version.

If a data model with the same name already exists in the target environment but is not referenced by any campaign, you can overwrite it with the imported file and update its parameters accordingly. However, if the data model is referenced by a campaign, you can overwrite it but the campaign tasks will be recomputed and the task list will be refreshed.

Before you begin

  • You have accessed Talend Data Stewardship as a campaign owner.

  • All semantic types referenced by the data model you want to import must have been published in Talend Dictionary Service.

Procedure

  1. In the home page, select DATA MODELS and click the IMPORT DATA MODEL tab on top of the page.
  2. Browse to the .json file you have exported and saved on your local system and click Open.

Results

A message is displayed to confirm the import. The data model is imported and listed in the data model list and the Modified By and Modified On values are updated accordingly.
