Talend Data Fabric Release Notes

Talend Data Fabric
Installation and Upgrade

OpenJDK support

In addition to the Oracle JDK, Talend supports OpenJDK 1.8 to generate, execute and build Data Services and Routes.

Artifactory support

Talend Studio, Talend Administration Center and Talend Runtime now supports the JFrog Artifactory as artifact repository for Data Services and Routes.

Continuous Integration and Deployment for ESB use Cases Continuous Integration and Deployment (CI/CD) is now supported for ESB Data Services and Routes. You can build, package and deploy Data Services and Routes using the Talend CI Builder Maven plugin. As target for the deploy goal, Sonatype Nexus 2 / 3 and JFrog Artifactory are supported.
REST API Definition and API bridge
The new REST API Definition metadata in the Talend Studio is the entry point to use the Talend Cloud API Designer to develop REST Definitions for the REST Data Service implementation in a contract first approach. REST Data Services using tRESTRequest and Routes with cREST can benefit from the new REST API Definition metadata and will use the API Definition as initialization of the component. Services using specifications from API Designer can also be directly tested with the API Tester using a new integration between the Studio and the API Tester. The API Designer and API Tester require a Talend Cloud subscription which provides these capabilities.

Event Monitoring

The Event Monitoring feature within Talend Runtime allows you to collect Log, OSGi, SAM and Service Locator events. It is an alternative to the Event Logging feature and provides a more lightweight technical implementation powered by Apache Karaf Decanter 2.1.0.
