OpenJDK support In addition to Oracle JDK, Talend supports OpenJDK 1.8 to generate, execute, and build Jobs.
Talend MDM Web UI search enhancements

Find the master data you're looking for more easily thanks to numerous search enhancements:

  • Four new search operators Contains, ContainsTheSentence, IsNotEqualTo, and StartsWith are available for foreign key attributes on the search panel in the data browser page.
  • You can perform a plain text search from data of the viewable business elements of the selected composite view in the data browser page.
  • Lucene fuzzy search is supported for searching data records.
  • The data records of your search criteria can be exported into a CSV file.
Talend MDM Web UI sort enhancements Talend MDM Web UI now supports sorting data against a multi-lingual element based on the display language, extending international reach.
New version for web application server The web application server has been upgraded to Apache Tomcat 9.0.10.
Support for new MySQL version MySQL 8.0 is now supported for Talend MDM Server.
Support for new PostgreSQL version PostgreSQL 10 is now supported for Talend MDM Server.
Support for new Microsoft SQL Server version Microsoft SQL Server 2017 is now supported for Talend MDM Server.
Event management

The Before Saving process can now return 'warning' messages, which allow you to either continue the process and save the record or abort the process.

Impact analysis on data model changes
  • If you add a new optional complex type element, it will be considered as a low impact level change when you deploy the modified data model to the MDM server.
  • If you change a mandatory simple or complex type element to an optional one, it will be considered as a low impact level change when you deploy the modified data model to the MDM server.
  • If you remove a mandatory or optional complex type element, or remove a mandatory or optional simply type element in a complex type element, it will be considered as a high impact level change when you deploy the modified data model to the MDM server.
  • If you remove a mandatory or optional simple type element immediately under an entity, or remove a mandatory or optional foreign key element, or remove an entity, it will be considered as a medium impact level change when you deploy the modified data model to the MDM server.
Access control definition at the attribute level

You can now separately grant each role 'add' access and 'remove' access for a foreign key attribute with the Maximum Occurrence value set to a number greater than 1 or set to -1 in Talend Studio.

Language support enhancements Talend Studio and Talend MDM Web UI now support the Chinese and Japanese display languages, extending international reach.
Hierarchy explorer display enhancements The hierarchy root name on the Hierarchy Explorer page in Talend MDM Web UI is now displayed based on locale.
