Procedure

  1. Download the latest Nexus 2.x version available from https://help.sonatype.com/repomanager2/download.
    Talend Artifact Repository is based on Nexus Repository Manager OSS.
  2. Unzip and install the new Nexus 2.x instance.
    For more information, see Installing and configuring Talend Artifact Repository.
  3. Paste the backed up sonatype-work folder in the <NewNexusInstallationDirectory>/sonatype-work folder. When you start the new instance of Talend Artifact Repository it will read the existing repository configuration from the sonatype-work folder.

What to do next

  • Execute the migration script using the nexus-migration-A.B.C.jar file from the previous Talend Artifact Repository instance.
  • Enable the upgrade capability in Nexus 2.x
  • Copy and save the access token found on the Status tab for the upgrade capability. You will need it to configure the upgrade tool in Nexus 3. For more information, see Sonatype documentation.
