This backup process is used for support purposes, to deliver demos or tutorials, to reproduce a production environment in a demo or QA environment or to migrate to a new type of database such as PostgreSQL to Oracle.
Talend Data Catalog stores all the data in the database (RDBMS).
The backup/restore feature implemented in Talend Data Catalog does not replace the full database backup and restore because it does not contain critical administration data, such as logs.
