Opening Talend MDM Web UI

Once you have prepared your simple project in Talend Studio, you can start to interact with the data in Talend MDM Web UI, as business users would do in a real-life project. Firstly, you need to open Talend MDM Web UI.

Before you begin

Make sure you have created two MDM users in Talend Administration Center: an Administrator user movie_manager@imdb.com and a Web user movie_user@imdb.com. For more information, see How to add MDM users.

Procedure

  1. In a web browser, enter the URL for your MDM Server.

    For example, http://localhost:8180/talendmdm/ui.

  2. On the authentication page, enter the login and password of the MDM user movie_manager@imdb.com, and then click Login.

Results

The Welcome Page opens.

The items listed in the Menu panel to the left vary according to your custom role, defined centrally in Talend Studio. For more information about how to assign custom roles to users, see Assigning custom roles to users.
