From Profiling perspective of the studio, you can generate an automated Job to recuperate regular expressions from the Internet library and write them in a csv file. You can then import these regular expressions in the studio through the Import Patterns option.

Prerequisite(s): You have selected the Profiling perspective in the studio.

To generate a Job to recuperate regular expressions, do the following:

  1. In the DQ Repository tree view, expand Libraries > Patterns.

  2. Right-click the Regex folder.

  3. From the contextual menu, select Generate jobs > Get Patterns.

The Integration perspective opens on the generated Job.

  4. In the workspace, select the tFindRegexlibExpression component to display its Basic settings view.

  5. In the Key Words field, enter the regular expression name you want to recuperate.

  6. If required, click any of the two other components to display the Basic settings view to modify any of the component parameters.

  7. Save you Job and press F6 to execute it.

A message is displayed to show the progress of the operation.

All specified regular expression are recuperated from the Internet library and written in the csv file. You can now import the recuperated regular expressions into the studio by using the Import Patterns option. For more information, see How to import regular expressions or SQL patterns from a csv file.
