AS/400 IBMi source:

Non-AS/400 IBMi source:

Member (AS/400 IBMi source)

This is the name of the source member that is selected.

The following rule is applied depending on the content of this field:

Content Description
None The rule specified for the model in the Distribution of all members parameter is applied.
*FIRST Forces the distribution of the first member only.
*ALL Forces the distribution to all members and matches their names (the same name on the source and the target) unless a name is fixed for a target member.
Member name Forces the distribution of the specified member only.

Sequence number

This number determines the order in which a table is processed with respect to the other tables in the model, from the smallest number to the greatest one.

This order applies only to EXTRACT mode processing phases, i.e., at all times for a model in the EXTRACT mode, and in the recovery phase during loading for a model in JOURNAL/BACKUP mode.

In a JOURNAL-type model, if a file is described more than once, the sequence number specifies the order in which the different occurrences of the file are processed.

Default target

The default target specifies the file/table that you will replicate to the target.

By default, for a file in the model, the target has the same name as the source and is found in the same location (library for AS/400 IBMi, database for SQL Server, schema for Oracle, and their equivalents in other databases).

You can specify the global default value for the target library/database in the model properties during its specific distribution to a target (see Distribution).

Hold

This parameter is used to hold the replication of the selected file for all the distributions of this model.

Len. Rec.

This specifies the record length of the file for an AS/400 IBMi source, and the maximum line length for the other sources.

Free

This is a two-character free text field.

This field can be used, e.g., to assign a category for the file based on its parameter definition, for a better visual and automatic identification in the parameter definition database.

Target DB

This parameter is used to override the default value by specifying the library/database in which the file/table is located.

Target table

The target table is used to override the default value by specifying the file/table to replicate to.

Target member

This parameter is used to override the default value by specifying the AS/400 IBMi member to replicate to on the target.

This value is applied for an AS/400 IBMi-type target only.

The default value is assigned by the Distribution of all members parameter in the model properties (see Models).

From Access mode to DLTF

For details about all these drop-down options, see section Table options.

Clear before extract

This property is used to specify whether the EXTRACT operation (normal mode for an EXTRACT-type model, or recovery in loading mode for a JOURNAL/BACKUP model) starts by sending a CLRPFM instruction for the target (instruction to clean the target table = DELETE FROM TABLE in SQL).

INSERT

This property specifies whether or not an add-type entry in this table is processed.

UPDATE

This property specifies whether or not an update-type entry in this table is processed.

DELETE

This property specifies whether or not a delete-type entry in this table is processed.

Selection and Transformation

This button is used to access the transformation module window.

For further details, refer to section Selection, Clean up and Transformation.

Control the structure changes

This button allows the user to enter and verify the structural changes to the table and to integrate them automatically into the new structure.

If no transformation takes place, the new fields/columns are added automatically.

If there is a transformation, the new fields/columns must be added manually.
