Before you begin

You have signed in as a user assigned to an administrator group.

Procedure

  1. Go to MANAGE > Custom attributes.
  2. Click Add.
  3. Fill in the following fields.
    Field Description
    Name Enter the name of the custom attribute.
    Description Enter a description.
    Scope Click CHOOSE to select the scope of object types to assign the custom attribute to.

    Click ADVANCED to see the complete list of types. This list is very long, as any metadata object can be assigned a custom attribute.
    Type Select the data type from the drop-down list.
    Default value/Possible values Type in a default value or possible values.
    Editors Optionally, select one or more users/groups.
  4. Click CREATE.
