The Talend Data Mapper provides projects that contain the HL7v2 specifications. These definitions allow you to create maps that interact with the HL7 transactions. These projects are installed as read-only projects and can be deployed to the Data Mapper Runtime.
The following elements of the HL7v2 standard are not available in the structures provided
in Talend Data Mapper:
- Segments named
Hxx, used as placeholders for any segment. - Segments whose name starts with
?, meaning any other segment. - Segments whose name starts with
Z, meaning customer-defined segments.
For elements defined as Varies, meaning untyped, Talend Data Mapper creates a Composite containing 32 sub
elements.
