In the <tomcat_path>WEB-INF\classes\configuration.properties file, the master.key parameter is mandatory for encoding and decoding passwords. If this parameter is missing, Talend Administration Center can not work correctly.

This parameter can only be updated before the first start of the Talend Administration Center. It can not be changed after Talend Administration Center is started.

Procedure

  1. Open the following file to edit it:
    <tomcat_path>WEB-INF\classes\configuration.properties
  2. Set the value of the master.key parameter then save your changes.
The requirement for this parameter is:
    • 16 symbols length
    • Base64 encoded
