Import context connection parameters from the Studio repository into the Artifact and add the parameters to the connection component.

Before you begin

Procedure

  1. In the Studio workspace, click the Contexts tab to open the Contexts view.
If the Contexts tab does not show in the Studio, click Window > Show view > Talend , and select Contexts.
  2. Click the icon to open a dialog box.

    Example

This dialog box lists all context groups created and saved in the Repository tree view of the Studio.
  3. Select the check box of the context variables you want to import from the Studio repository and click OK.
The context variables are imported and listed in the Contexts view.
  4. Double-click each of the parameters to open a wizard where you can define the parameter value.
The Studio removes connection parameter values from Artifacts before publishing them to the Cloud.
  5. In the Artifact, double-click the connection component to open its Basic settings view.

    Example

  6. Press Ctrl+Space in each of the connection fields to display the list of the context connections you defined in the Studio repository and select the context connection parameter.
The values of the connection parameter are not published to the cloud with the Artifact. When you publish the Artifact to the cloud, web users must:
    1. Create the connection in Talend Management Console.
    2. Select the connection to run Tasks.
