All license editions allow to edit custom attributes from the Manage Metamodel page.

Before you begin

You have been assigned a global role with the Application Administration capability.

Procedure

  1. Go to MANAGE > Metamodel then click START EDITING.
  2. In the Attribute Types panel, click Add.
  3. Enter a name and a description then click OK.
    The attribute name must be unique in the entire repository.
  4. Edit or configure the following fields as necessary.
    Field Description
    Name Enter a name.
    Description Enter a description.
    Editors Optionally, select one or more users or groups which can edit the attribute values of this type.
    Datatype Select the data type from the drop-down list. Attributes of this type will conform to and be validated against the selected data type.
    Default value/Possible values Type in a default value or possible values. It is the value assigned by default when an attribute of this type is instantiated.
    Package Select a package that the attribute type is a member of.

    The Default package is assigned by default.
  5. Save your changes.

Results

You can now define business objects by assigning them attribute types.
