HL7v2 Specifications
The Talend Data Mapper provides projects that contain the HL7v2 specifications. These definitions allow you to create maps that interact with the HL7 transactions. These projects are installed as read-only projects and can be deployed to the Data Mapper Runtime.
The following elements of the HL7v2 standard are not available in the structures provided
in Talend Data Mapper:
- Segments named Hxx, used as placeholders for any segment.
- Segments whose name starts with ?, meaning any other segment.
- Segments whose name starts with Z, meaning customer-defined segments.
For elements defined as Varies, meaning untyped, Talend Data Mapper creates a Composite containing 32 sub elements.
You can customize the structures provided to fit your needs.
