Running Talend Data Preparation with systemd (deprecated)

Start, stop, and monitor the status of the Talend Data Preparation service using systemd.

Before you begin

Make sure that the following services are installed and running before starting Talend Data Preparation:

  • talend-tac
  • talend-mongodb
  • talend-iam
  • talend-zookeeper
  • talend-kafka
  • talend-dictionary-service
  • talend-tcomp
Information noteNote: Start the services in the specified order.

Procedure

  • Start the service using the following command:
    sudo systemctl start talend-tdp
  • Stop the service using the following command:
    sudo systemctl stop talend-tdp
  • Check the status of the service using the following command:
    sudo systemctl status talend-tdp
  • Check logging information using the journalctl command.
    For example:
    • To list service journal entries:
      sudo journalctl --unit talend-tdp
    • To list service journal entries after a specific date:
      sudo journalctl --unit talend-tdp --since "2018-08-17 13:15:17"
