You can set up the update repositories (p2 repositories) by creating proxy repositories.

Before you begin

The artifact repository has been installed, either Sonatype Nexus or JFrog Artifactory. For more information, see Installing and configuring Talend Artifact Repository.

About this task

This procedure shows you how to set up an update repository for Talend Studio feature packages by creating a proxy repository. You can follow it to create an update repository for any Talend Studio monthly updates.

  1. If you are using Sonatype Nexus, create a proxy repository in a raw format.
  2. If you are using JFrog Artifactory, create a virtual repository in a generic or maven format.
  3. Name the new repository repo-base, for example.
  4. Link the new repository to the official repository for Talend Studio feature packages, in this example.
Later, you can use http://<repo-server>/repo-base to configure the base URL in Talend Studio or the parameter in Continuous Integration, where <repo-server> is the IP address or the host name of your artifact repository server.
