MDM Platform

Procedure

  1. From the Select Database Type window, select the type of database from the Database Type drop-down list, then click Next.
If you select a database other than the MySQL database, you must manually install the database drivers in <TomcatPath>\webapps\talendmdm\WEB-INF\lib before using Talend products.
Note: If you have more than one driver version installed you might experience errors.
  2. After selecting a database, configure it in the Configure connection to RDBMS window:
    • For the MySQL database:
      1. Choose the database generation policy. You have a choice between creating a database for each container, or using a single database for all containers.
      2. Enter the User name and Password to use for connecting to the database.
    • For the embedded H2, Microsoft SQL Server, or PostgreSQL databases:
      1. Choose the database generation policy. You have a choice between creating a database for each container, or using a single database for all containers.
      2. Enter the Host, Port, User and Password to use for connecting to the database.
    • For Oracle or DB2 databases:
      1. Read the information at the top of the dialog box.
      2. Enter the parameters required for connecting to the database.
For more information, see Using Oracle for the MDM server.
  3. When you are finished with configuring the database, click Next.
