| Security vulnerability - Log4j2 | Following the Log4j2 vulnerability, Spark Batch and Spark Streaming Jobs
with Azure Synapse and HD Insight 4.0 distributions were failing. This issue has
been fixed by disabling the use of Log4j in components. Make sure that the Activate log4j in components check box from the Log4j view in is cleared.

| Case sensitivity causing error with Hive | The issue with case sensitivity causing the Job failure has been fixed. With
Hive tables, the Hive Query is no longer case sensitive. If the schema is defined
in lower case and you write upper case in the query, the Job no longer fails. For
example, the following queries are both working: select ID, NAME from
table and select id, name from table. |
