Data Integration: new features - Cloud - 8.0

Two update repositories are provided for Talend Studio feature packages and updates respectively. A new Update settings view, which allows you to configure the update repositories by setting the following two URLs, is available in Talend Studio Preferences dialog box.

• Base URL: the URL of the repository for Talend Studio feature packages.
• Update URL: the URL of the repository for Talend Studio updates.

After setting up the update repositories for Talend Studio and configuring the update repositories in Talend Studio correctly, Talend Studio automatically detects, obtains, and installs the updates.

BigQuery components enhancements

• The tBigQueryBulkExec, tBigQueryInput, tBigQueryOutput, and tBigQuerySQLRow components provide the OAuth Access Token authentication mode which allows you to authenticate to your project using an OAuth access token. This feature is delivered in 7.3 R2020-12 monthly release.
  
• When you use multiple queries, multiple result sets are now returned for the following components: tBigQueryBulkExec, tBigQuerySQLRow, tBigQueryInput, tBigQueryOutput. You can also use the following new variables in the Query field to check the Job execution statistics: JOBID, STATISTICS, STATISTICS_CHILD (only for tBigQuerySQLRow and tBigQueryInput) ERROR_MESSAGE (only for tBigQuerySQLRow and tBigQueryInput). This feature is delivered in 7.3 R2021-07 monthly release.

• The Use WHERE conditions table option and the Where conditions table field are provided in the Basic settings view. The change improves the productivity. Components involved: tELTGreenplumOutput, tELTMSSqlOutput, tELTMysqlOutput, tELTNetezzaOutput, tELTOracleOutput, tELTOutput, tELTPostgresqlOutput, tELTSybaseOutput, tELTTeradataOutput, tELTVerticaOutput. This feature is delivered in 7.3 R2021-02 monthly release.
  
• In the ELT Map Editor of the tELTMap component, you can now enter a multi-line expression for an output column and access proposals including input columns, output columns, and context variables by pressing Ctrl+Space in a new pop-up dialog box. This feature is delivered in 7.3 R2020-08 monthly release.
  
• The ELT Map editor of the tELTOracleMap component now provides a new dialog box Property Settings, which contains two options:
  1. Delimited identifiers: With this check box selected, double quotes will be added for all output column names to support delimited identifiers.
  2. Automatic alias: With this check box selected, if a schema column has a different name than its database column, an alias will be automatically created in the SQL query for that column.
