About this task

To use the managing variables button to apply the Repository context variables to a Job or Route, proceed as follows:

Procedure

  1. Double-click the Job or Route to which a context variable is to be added.
  2. Once the Job or Route is opened in the workspace, click the Context view beneath the workspace to open it.
  3. Click the Context button for managing variables to open the wizard to select the context variables to be applied.
    Select context variables wizard.
  4. In the wizard, select the context variables you need to apply or clear those you do not need to.
Note: The context variables that have been applied are automatically selected and cannot be cleared.
  5. Click OK to apply the selected context variables to the Job or Route.
The Context view shows the context environments and the selected context variables. You can edit the context environments by clicking the managing environments button in the upper right corner of the Context view, delete the whole context or any variable by selecting the context name or the variable and clicking the X button, but you cannot edit Repository-stored variables in this view.
