Launching the server and setting preferences

About this task

When you use Talend Studio for Cloud, install an Elasticsearch server. For more information, see the Elasticsearch documentation.
Elasticsearch 7.3.2 is supported. For more information about the supported versions, see Supported ELK versions.

Launch the Elasticsearch server.
On the menu bar of Talend Studio, select Window > Preferences to display the Preferences window.
Start typing Semantic in the filter field.
The Semantic-aware Analysis part is displayed.

The connection information to the semantic repository on the server is set by default depending on your installation.

If you do any modifications to the port or cluster name, you must modify them in this view.
Verify that the connection is successful by clicking Check Connection.
When the connection is successful, some data is initialized to the server by default and will be used for the Semantic-aware analysis.
An error message is displayed when the connection information to the server is not correctly set or the server is not up and running.
To close the Preferences window, click OK.
