Create expressions to configure your requests.

Procedure

  1. In a field where expressions are supported, click the magic wand icon to open the EXPRESSION BUILDER.

    Example

    The magic wand icon is to the right of fields that support this feature.
  2. Create your expression by clicking on the element that you want to add.
    You can choose to use an environment variable or any element from any request available. You can see the expression you are creating in the Expression field and its value in the Preview field.

    Example

    In this example, the expression corresponds to the name of the first result in a list of Star Wars characters from the Star Wars API and the Preview value is Luke Skywalker.
  3. Click Insert.

Results

The expression is added where you placed your cursor before clicking the magic wand icon. If the cursor was inside an expression, the expression builder opens in edition mode and you can modify that expression.
