Configure Talend Cloud to detect and enable your hybrid installation individually for each application.

Before you begin

To enable hybrid from Talend Management Console, you must have downloaded and installed the required applications on your domain.

Procedure

  1. Log in to Talend Cloud and open Talend Management Console.
  2. Go to the Configurations menu and access the tab of the application that you want to set as hybrid: Data Preparation or Data Stewardship.
  3. Toggle the Enable hybrid option ON.
  4. Provide the URL of the application you are about to install on your domain, or migrate. The URL must be shaped like the following examples:
    • Talend Data Stewardship URL: http://<hostname>:19999
    • Talend Data Preparation URL: http://<hostname>:9999
  5. To validate the URL, save the configuration.
  6. If you want to setup multiple instances of a hybrid application, you can specify here the additional URLs to the different instances. Note that even when additional URLs are specified, only the main one can be accessed through the application switcher in the header bar.
  7. Click Generate to get a client ID and secret pair.
The Generate button becomes active only when the main application URL has been validated.
  8. Copy the generated values. They are needed in the configuration file of the corresponding hybrid application.
  9. Go to the Users & Security menu to manage the users and assign them the required roles for using the hybrid application.

For more information about user management in Talend Cloud, refer to the Talend Management Console User Guide.

Results

All links from Talend Cloud to that application will now direct to the URL specified in the configuration. Make sure users have the required roles and permissions to access it.

If you need to edit the configuration, you will need to update the corresponding hybrid application configuration as well to take the change into account.

You can disable the hybrid configuration at any time. By doing so, access to the cloud version of the application will be restored, but the data of the hybrid application will not be automatically transferred.

What to do next

You can proceed with the installation and configuration of the hybrid applications that will require to provide the generated client ID and secret.
