Installing Talend Remote Engine

You can download Talend Remote Engine from the Talend Cloud portal with an installer (run executable file) or in an archive (tar.gz ).

The Talend Remote Engine directory path must not contain spaces.

If you are choosing to install the Remote Engine with the installer (.run) and want to setup the engine as a service, the owner of the parent of the Remote Engine installation folder has to be either root or talenduser.

Data service and Route tasks can only be deployed on Remote Engines.
