Removing old versions of project items

Talend Studio allows you to remove old versions of each item in the Repository tree view.

Procedure

  1. Click File > Edit Project properties from the menu bar.
The Project Settings dialog box displays.
  2. In the tree view of the dialog box, click General > Version Management > Cleanup to open the corresponding view.
  3. In the Repository tree view, expand the nodes if needed, and select the check boxes for the corresponding items whose old versions you want to remove.
  4. Select either of the following two options according to your needs:
    • Remove all old versions and keep only the latest one: to remove all old versions and keep only the latest one for selected items.
    • Remove all old versions lower than: to remove all old versions lower than a specific version for selected items. With this option selected, you need to enter a specific version number, for example, 0.2 or 1.0, in the text field next to it. Note that the latest version of any item will never be removed even if it is lower than the specified version.
Information noteWarning: There is no dependency check when removing old versions of Jobs, Joblets, Routes, and Routelets. We recommend you to do the removal and validate the cleanup on a branch.
  5. Click Remove.
The old versions of selected items are removed. A dialog box pops up, which displays the number of removed items and a link to the cleanup report. The report includes the type, the name, and the version of each removed item.
