Unlike for batch jobs, the Remote Engine Cluster plays no role in High Availability or Load Balancing for the Real-time server. As previously discussed, this functionality is provided by a third-party API Gateway or Load Balancer. For real-time artifacts, the Remote Engine Cluster is simply a mechanism to make deployment easier. Rather than deploying an artifact to each individual server (and the associated risks of making mistakes in this process), you only need to perform a single deploy action and the correct version of the artifact will be deployed to all servers.
