Before you begin

If you are using a Remote Engine Gen2, an administrator has previously created the engine in Talend Management Console.

Procedure

  1. Click Connections > Add connection.
    The connection configuration page opens.
  2. From the list, select the connector corresponding to the source of your data, Amazon S3 for example.

  3. Click Next.
  4. Select your engine in the Engine list.
    Note: The engine suggestions and availability depend on the connector that you have selected.
  5. Fill in the connection information to access your system and check it if needed.

    If you are creating a Snowflake connection with a JDBC connection, you can add the pushdown parameter to enable more capabilities. For more information, see Adding the pushdown parameter to a Snowflake connection.

  6. Click Next.
  7. Give a name to your connection as well as a description if needed.
  8. Click Validate.

Results

The new connection is added to the list on the Connections page and is ready to be used.
