The Talend Integration Cloud product has been re-branded: from Spring '18, the platform is called Talend Cloud. Accordingly, the direct links to the Talend Cloud portal and applications have also changed, and now follow the https://us.cloud.talend.com or https://eu.cloud.talend.com pattern, depending on your region. For example, you can reach Talend Cloud Management Console via https://tmc.us.cloud.talend.com or https://tmc.eu.cloud.talend.com. However, the previous links remain valid to maintain the compatibility between your previously configured Remote Engines and Studio.

To have access to Talend Studio version 7.0, you must have one of the new Talend Cloud packages. Accessing Talend Dictionary Service requires one of the new platform licenses. To update your license, contact your customer success manager or email email@example.com.
Talend Cloud applications and documentation are now available in two new languages: French and Japanese. You can change your language settings on the Profile preferences page in your user menu in any of the cloud applications and the portal page.
On the same page, you can review and configure your personal information and preferences, such as your user details, timezone, or password.
In order to align with industry best practices for security and data integrity, Talend Cloud requires an upgrade to TLS 1.2 or higher.
Talend Cloud Data Stewardship

Talend Integration Cloud
|Remote run/debug (available with new editions)||It is possible to enable the remote run feature for a Remote Engine in Talend Integration Cloud. The new feature allows Integration Developers to run and debug designs on a Remote Engine configured in Talend Integration Cloud directly from Talend Studio.|
|Promotion of context parameters (available with new editions)||The promotion rules have been enhanced.
If the artifact does not exits in the target environment and the target environment name is the same as a context environment in Studio, the Flow is created with context parameter values of the Job pulled from Studio.
If the artifact already exists in the target environment and the target environment name is the same as a context environment in Studio, the values for the new parameters are pulled from Studio. Otherwise, they correspond to the values set in the source environment.
If a new version of the Job/Flow has new parameters, they are added to the Job Parameters.
|Published Jobs in the user interface||After publication, the Job is available through the Run Now button on the Flow details page.|
|Published Jobs in the API||Jobs are available immediately in the Talend Integration Cloud API after
publication, which makes tt possible to start the execution without running
the Job first in the user interface of Talend Integration Cloud. Continuous
integration can be executed without manual intervention.
The same behavior applies to the first publication of a Job or when a new version is published.
The improvement applies to all Jobs, with or without context variables.

Talend Cloud Management Console
|Talend Dictionary Service support (available with new editions)||Talend Dictionary Service is supported for an unlimited number of users for any new platform license.|
|Separated application seats||Talend Cloud Data Preparation and Talend Cloud Data Stewardship seats are counted separately.|
|Semantic types manager role (available with new editions)||A new role is available in Talend Cloud Management Console. The Semantic types manager can enrich the semantic types proposed by Talend applications.|
|Engine tokens (available with new editions)||With the Spring '18 release, engine tokens have been introduced in the
licenses to replace the former Cloud and Remote Engine system.
Based on your license, you have a certain number of tokens that you can use to create Remote Engines or assign Cloud Engines to an environment. Executing a Flow on a shared (unassigned) Cloud Engine also consumes engine tokens. Once all the tokens are used up, it is not possible to create new Remote Engines or assign Cloud Engines.
The engine tokens mechanism applies only to new licenses.
|Git connection (on-premises)||To allow access to the shared projects in Talend Studio when using Git on premises, the repository URL must end with .git extension.|
