Publishing the service into the Talend Artifact Repository from the Talend Studio

In this section, you will see how to publish the Customer service for test purposes from Talend Studio to the Talend Artifact Repository, which allows you to centralize, manage and register all the items created and to be deployed on your execution server.

Before publishing the service, make sure the Talend Artifact Repository is running. For more information, see Starting and configuring the Talend Administration Center.

Procedure

  1. Make sure the Talend Artifact Repository connection preferences are correctly set in Talend Studio. From the menu bar, click Window > Preferences to open the Preferences dialog box. In the tree view on the left panel, expand the Talend node and select Artifact repository. Keep the default settings or change it as needed.
  2. From the Talend Studio Repository view, under Services, right-click CustomerService 0.1 and select Publish.
  3. In the Publish Job into Artifact Repository wizard, select the Publish as SNAPSHOT check box to publish a Snapshot version of the Service to the Snapshots repository.
  4. Click Finish.

Results

The Service is now available as an artifact in the Snapshots repository of the Talend Artifact Repository. You can deploy it into the Talend ESB Container from Talend Administration Center.
