Description

Talend Open Studio for ESB

Talend ESB

Talend Data Services Platform

Deployment versioning and customization

The Build Type (OSGi-Talend Runtime or Microservice ) can be set now on the Deployment tab.

Nexus 3 support

Nexus3 is now the default Artifact Repository and can be used also for all ESB use cases.

Data Services (SOAP)

New advanced settings options are added to tESBProviderRequest, including Response timeout, sec, Request processing queue size, Request processing timeout, sec.

Data Services (REST)

Rest Data Services can now be exported as Microservices. Besides Routes, which are supported already, we enhance our support for Microservice Deployments and add with this release the REST Data Services.

tRESTRequest support now the initialization based on a OAS/Swagger 2 specification. This allows starting with the API Specification first and use the ESB Studio for the Implementation based on the Specification. The Data types / Schemas Definition of the Specification will not be imported.

Route Builder

cREST provides support now the initialization based on a OAS/Swagger 2 specification. This allows starting with the API Specification first and use the ESB Studio for the Implementation based on the Specification. The Data types / Schemas Definition of the Specification will not be imported.

Runtime

  • Apache Karaf is upgraded to 4.1.5
  • Apache CXF is upgraded to 3.2.4
  • Apache ActiveMQ is upgraded to 5.15.2
  • Apache Camel is upgraded to 2.20.1

Talend Administration Center

Update of an ESB Conductor task has been improved to make it easier to deploy a new version using an existing deployment task. When the version changes, the configuration properties from the old version will be taken over to the new one in case they were overwritten with custom values. The old version will be also automatically undeployed.

Virtual Server Handling has been improved to provide a warning in the client log when a physical server is not reachable during the deployment process.

Continues Integration for ESB Use Cases

TECHNICAL PREVIEW: Talend ESB 7.0.1 ships with some initial support for Continues Integration using the CI-Builder maven plugin for ESB (Routes and Data Services). However, note that the use of the Talend CI Builder for ESB purposes is in TECHNICAL PREVIEW in this version and it is recommended to use the Talend CommandLine commands to build and publish Routes and Data Services in a production environment. We will provide the full GA feature for CI with ESB use cases with the 7.1 release (next release). As the feature is not fully documented and as we also plan to bring update(s) for 7.0.1 on this feature between 7.0.1 and 7.1.1, we recommend you to reach out to support@talend.com before you start to try this feature to check if improvements for this Technical Preview feature are available.
