The Search in the Configuration feature allows you to search for a specific object across a configuration.


  1. Double-click a configuration to open it in the Workspace panel.
  2. Click the Search in configuration icon to open the Search tab.

    When searching in a configuration, the search is performed in the published version of this configuration, by default.

    If you want to perform a search in an unpublished version, right-click this configuration version from the repository and click Search.

  3. Enter the text in the search box.
  4. From the drop-down lists, choose any pre-filtering criteria by selecting the check boxes, if necessary.
    Field Description
    Object Types Such as Configuration, Glossary, Physical Data Model or Data Modeling (Business).
    Property Types Such as Names (All), Names (Physical Only), Description or Others.
  5. Click the Search button.


    You search for a term called Payable account in the Finance configuration.
    In the first row of the search results, you can see a term named Payable Account stored in the Enterprise Conceptual Model category of the Enterprise Glossary, located in the Development version of the Finance configuration.
