Upgrading to a new version may have version specific issues or
recommendations.
General recommendations
As each new version contains new and improved bridges, you should update models only if they have been imported with a connector improved with the new version or only if a new bridge specific to the data source technology is now available.
You need to remove the incremental harvesting, re-import the models and re-build the related configurations.
Migration from Talend Data Catalog 7.1.2 to 7.3
Single-model database import is deprecated in 7.3 and will be removed in the next major release.By default, Talend Data Catalog 7.3 harvests new database models as multi models.
You need to upgrade the existing
database models harvested as single models with previous versions using the
Migrate to multi-model databases operation available at the
model or directory level from the repository manager.
This operation converts a single database model into a multi-model database.
It includes the migration of the database documentation, connection stitching, and
involvement on data flow and semantic mapping.
