Talend Metadata Manager Platform Advanced

Depending on the configuration of the workflow process, you can make multiple changes to terms in the business glossary.

The table below describes the different workflow actions that you can perform on your terms.
Note: You can only apply the actions that match your workflow role.

Actions Description
Propose Term You add a new term as a candidate.

Then, you can delete or send to draft the term.

Create Draft You add a term as a draft.
Then, you can perform the following actions:
  • start review,
  • submit for approval,
  • mark for depreciation,
  • discard.
Send to Draft You define the term status as Draft.
Then, you can perform the following actions:
  • start review,
  • submit for approval,
  • delete.
Start Review You review the term with the Draft status.
Then, you can perform the following actions:
  • request change,
  • recommend approval,
  • submit for approval,
  • send to draft.
Discard You discard the previous action.
Request Change You send the term to draft.
Mark for Depreciation You want to set the Draft status of a term as Deprecated. Then, you can start review or submit for approval this action.
Recommend Approval You submit the term for approval.
Submit for Approval You want to approve the term.

Then, you can perform the following actions:

  • send to draft,
  • approve,
  • reject.
Approve You decide to approve the previous action performed on the term. Then, you can publish or reject the term.
Reject You decide to reject the previous action performed on the term.
Publish You decide to publish the term. Then, you can send back the term to draft by applying the Create Draft action.
