From Talend MDM Web User Interface, you can access the log console which shows the log of activities on the MDM server directly. Such information is also available in the mdm.log file which is stored in the <$INSTALLDIR>/logs directory.
You can also view the contents of the log file mdm.log from Talend Studio or in a browser, provided you have been assigned the administration role. For more information, see Talend Studio User Guide.
To access the log console from Talend MDM Web User Interface, do the following:
From the Menu panel, click Tools.
Select Log Console from the list to open a new page.
From the log viewer page, you can:
Select from the list the log file you want to display, which can be Log file, Match log file or Jobs log file.
Click the Reload button to reload the contents of the log file.
Click the Clear button to clear the information displayed on the page.
Click the Download button to download a copy of the log file to your local machine.
Click the Pause button to temporarily prevent the display of the log file from updating in your browser.
You can also edit the parameters Fetch Period (which is the time in milliseconds between each refresh of the log displayed) and Max lines (the maximum number of lines displayed), and then click Set Params to apply your changes.
