You can run a Talend MapReduce Job directly from the Studio the same way as you run a traditional Talend Job that is classified as Standard Job in the Repository tree view.

Procedure

To launch a MapReduce Job, simply double-click that Job to open it on the workspace and then press F6, or alternatively, in the Basic Run tab of the Run view of the same Job, click Run.
In this step, you are also able to configure the Advanced settings for this execution. For further information about this Advanced settings tab of the Run view, see Setting advanced execution settings.

Results

Once launched, that MapReduce Job is submit to the Resource manager of the Hadoop cluster it connects to and is executed directly on that cluster.

You can also run a Talend MapReduce Job in other ways such as from a remote JobServer, via Talend Oozie or by means of Talend Administration Center.

For further information about how to run Jobs from a remote JobServer, see Running a Job remotely.

For further information about how to use Oozie to run Jobs and to schedule and monitor Job executions, see Running a Job via Oozie.

For further information about how to use Talend Administration Center to schedule and monitor Job executions, search for Job Conductor of the Talend Administration Center.
