You can import into the current studio the JRXML templates you create using a reporting tool or the JRXML templates that are defined by default in the data quality platform.

How to import user-defined JRXML templates

After creating personalized JRXML templates using a reporting engine, you can import these templates into your studio, and then generate reports using these personalized templates.

Prerequisite(s): You have selected the Profiling perspective in the studio. The JRXML template is created and stored locally.

To import a user-defined JRXML template, do the following:

  1. In the DQ Repository tree view, expand Libraries.

  2. Either:

    • Right-click JRXML Template and select Import JRXML. This will import the template under the JRXML Template folder.

    • Right-click any sub-folder under JRXML Template to import the template under the selected sub-folder.

  3. In the [Open] dialog box of your operating system, browse to the folder that contains the JRXML template you want to import.

  4. Select the JRXML template and click Open.

    The imported template is displayed under the JRXML Template folder in the DQ Repository tree view.

How to import built-in JRXML templates

You can import into your studio all the by-default JRXML files that are pre-defined in the platform. This way, you can modify and use these templates in order not to start from scratch to build your own.

Prerequisite(s): You have selected the Profiling perspective in the studio.

To import built-in JRXML templates, do the following:

  1. In the DQ Repository tree view, expand Libraries.

  2. Right-click JRXML Template and select Import Built-in JRXML.

    The built-in templates display in several folders under JRXML Template.
