Invoking a webhook with Talend Integration Cloud 1.5

In this article we will examine how to use a webhook in Talend Integration Cloud 1.5.

The Talend Integration Cloud documentation describes how to define a Webhook parameter. This article will reference and extend that documentation to highlight the most important steps, which are to be done in Talend Integration Cloud (TIC)

Setting up Webhooks in Talend Studio

You can use the webhook context parameter in the Source Integration Action to be used in TIC to allow the web user to generate unique URLs of Flows from the web application. These URLs allow external applications (such as Salesforce, Box, Dropbox, etc.) to trigger the execution of a Flow on any data change.

The first step is to open Talend Studio and the Integration Action you want to use. Open the ' Contexts' tab below the design workspace.

In this example we have a Source Integration Action which retrieves contacts from Salesforce. This Source Action is used in the beginning of a Flow in the web application. You want to trigger the execution of the Flow every time the Salesforce contacts are updated.
