Tasks can be assigned to data stewards automatically via the tStewardshipTaskOutput component. For further information, see the tStewardshipOutput section in Talend Components Reference Guide.
However, an administrator can also assign a task to a data steward manually from the data stewardship console.
Prerequisite(s): You have logged in to Talend Data Stewardship Console as an administrator.
To assign a task to a data stewardship from the stewardship console, complete the following:
In the task list, select the check box of the task(s) you want to assign to a specific user.
In the Task Navigator, expand the Administration node and then select Assign Task.
A dialog box pops up.
Select the check box of the user for whom you want to assign the selected task.
When you use the stewardship console integrated in Talend MDM Web User Interface, the users that have been already defined in Talend Studio to access the web user interface are shared with Talend Data Stewardship Console. Thus, the Task Assignment list will include the default user and Administrator in addition to any other user role that have been defined in Talend Studio.
Click OK to validate the changes and close the dialog box.
The selected task will only be displayed in the task list of the selected user.
