Talend Remote Engine v2.11.8 is now generally available to run with Log4J 2.17.1 and other enhancements.

It is strongly recommended to upgrade your Remote Engines to this new version so as to avoid the recently reported Log4J vulnerabilities.

Features Description

Logs of child Jobs

 For Jobs published from Studio V8.0 and onwards, you can now add the following parameter in the <RemoteEngineInstallationDirectory>/etc/org.talend.ipaas.rt.jobserver.client.cfg file to ensure that the logs of a Subjob is generated.
job.log.subjobs.logs = true
Note: For the previous Studio versions, logs of a Subjob are not available if you select the Use an independent process to run subJob check box in tRunjob.

 With the security evaluation accomplished regarding Log4J CVE-2021-45105, Remote Engine, along with other Talend applications, has been upgraded to use Log4J 2.17.1.
