Testing your API with a mock

Use a mock to test your API definition on Talend Cloud API Tester.

1. In Talend Cloud API Designer, open your API and click Settings.
2. In the MOCK section, toggle the Enable button to On.
3. Click Save.
   Your mock endpoint is generated.

   
4. Click Try the mock in API Tester.
   Talend Cloud API Tester opens in a new tab and the Movie catalog API project is created.
5. In the left panel, expand the Movies service and click Get a list of movies.
6. Click Send to send the request.
   The response returned by the mock is based on the examples provided in the API definition.

   
7. Optional: Test the other requests in the project.
