Sequencing of tables in the model

The sequence number determines the treatment order of the file compared to the other tables of the model.

It proceeds from smallest to greatest numbers.

This order is only taken into account for the treatment phases in EXTRACT mode, that is to say, all the time for an EXTRACT-type, and during resume loading phase for a JOURNAL-type of model.

In the case of a JOURNAL-type model, if the file is described several times, the sequence number indicates the treatment order of the file's different actions.

When you right-click on the model object and select the Change table sequence option from the context-sensitive menu, the following dialog box is displayed:

When you have obtained the desired sequence in the right pane, click OK to apply it to the tables.

Information noteNote:  When you redefine the table sequence after having distributed the model on one or more target, the new sequence will not impact the distribution. For this, you must choose the Re-sequence the tables based on the model option from the context-sensitive menu, for each distribution.
