tEXistConnection Standard properties

These properties are used to configure tEXistConnection running in the Standard Job framework.

The Standard tEXistConnection component belongs to the Databases family.

The component in this framework is available in all Talend products.

Basic settings

URI

URI of the database you want to connect to.

Collection

Enter the path to the collection of interest on the database server.

Driver

This field is automatically populated with the standard driver.

Information noteNote:

Users can enter a different driver, depending on their needs.

Username and Password

User authentication information.

To enter the password, click the [...] button next to the password field, and then in the pop-up dialog box enter the password between double quotes and click OK to save the settings.

Advanced settings

tStatCatcher Statistics

Select this check box to gather the Job processing metadata at a Job level as well as at each component level.

Usage

Usage rule

This component is more commonly used with other tEXist* components, especially with the tEXistGet and tEXistPut components. If you set the connection properties in the tEXistConnection component, you can reuse the connection for other tEXist* components in the same Job.

eXist-db is an open source database management system built using XML technology. It stores XML data according to the XML data model and features efficient, index-based XQuery processing.

Limitation

Due to license incompatibility, one or more JARs required to use this component are not provided. You can install the missing JARs for this particular component by clicking the Install button on the Component tab view. You can also find out and add all missing JARs easily on the Modules tab in the Integration perspective of your studio. For details, see Installing external modules.
