Creating nodes and node relationships from lists

This scenario describes a Job that creates two groups of nodes from lists using the UNWIND clause and creates relationships among the nodes using the apoc.periodic.iterate procedure. The UNWIND clause and the apoc.periodic.iterate procedure allow you to create nodes and node relationship in a high-performance way.

For more technologies supported by Talend, see Talend components.

This scenario applies only to Talend products with Big Data.

This scenario comprises four subJobs:
  • SubJob 1 creates a connection to a Neo4jv4 database for the subsequent subJobs.
  • SubJob 2 and subJob 3 create two groups of nodes from two lists using the UNWIND clause. They are scheduled by the tParallelize component and run in parallel.
  • SubJob 4 creates relationships among the nodes created by subJob 2 and subJob 3. As scheduled by the tParallelize component, subJob 4 runs after subJob 2 and subJob 3 complete.
