How to do a license audit

To do a license audit, follow the steps below for each separate environment you have.

Procedure

  1. Log on to Talend Administration Center.
  2. In the Settings Users.
  3. Take a note of the names listed on that page.
  4. Next, go to Licences.
  5. Again, take a note of the licences listed on the page.
From the Licences a simple count of the listed users will enable you to check whether you are tab, you can simply check what products you are licensed for, what type of licence(s) for what versions you have and whether or not you are taking full advantage of those products. You can also see when the licences will expire. Note that it is possible to have more than one licence, and if you do you will see this information displayed.

Results

Comparing the information contained on the Users tab against that on the Licences tab should now allow you to check that you are within your licence agreement. A simple way to do this is to list out each user you have listed, for every environment. If you have say, a licence for ten named users, then a simple count of the listed users will enable you to check whether you are compliant.
