Dynamics 365 properties

Properties to configure to connect to your Dynamics 365 CRM account.

Azure Dynamics 365 connection

Select Azure Dynamics 365 in the list and configure the connection.

Configuration

Select your engine from the list and set the main and advanced settings.

Main settings

Registered application type Select the type of your application:
  • Native App to specify a scope-based access using delegated authorization from the signed-in resource owner.
  • Web App with delegated permissions to specify a role-based access using the client application's credentials/identity.
OAuth flow Only available if Web App with delegated permissions is selected.

Select the type of authentication required to access the Microsoft CRM database (Resource owner password credentials or Client credentials). For more information, see Microsoft identity platform and OAuth 2.0 authorization code flow.

Username and Password

Only available if Resource owner password credentials is selected.

Enter the user authentication data required to access the Microsoft CRM database.
Service root URL Enter the URL of the service root.

The syntax of the URL should be https://<organization_name>.api.crm.dynamics.com/api/data/vX.X/

Application ID Enter the unique client identifier that Azure AD assigns to your application when registering the application in the Azure portal. For more information, see Register a Dynamics 365 app with Azure Active Directory.
Client secret Enter the access key for your web application.

This option is only available if you selected the Web App with delegated permissions application type.

Authorization Endpoint Enter the OAuth authorization endpoint to be used for the OAuth discovery.
Advanced settings

Timeout (seconds) If Define JDBC URL is disabled, you can enable this option to define the JDBC driver protocol.
Max retries Sets the maximum number of seconds to wait for a reply message from the CRM server before closing the connection to it.

After configuring the connection, give it a display name (mandatory) and a description (optional).

Dynamics 365 dataset

Dataset configuration
Property Configuration
Dataset name Enter a display name for the dataset. This name will be used as a unique identifier of the dataset in all Talend Cloud apps.
Connection Select your connection in the list. If you are creating a dataset based on an existing connection, this field is read-only.
Main settings

Entity set Select or enter the name of the entity to be retrieved from the CRM server.
