Preparing your installation

Before you begin

Download Apache Kafka from https://kafka.apache.org/downloads and install it.

Download a MongoDB instance from https://www.mongodb.com/download-center and install it.
For more information on the supported MongoDB databases, see Compatible databases.

For more information on how to install it, see MongoDB documentation.

If you want to secure connections with MongoDB using SSL, MongoDB Enterprise Server has to be manually installed on your machine. For more information, see https://docs.mongodb.com/v4.0/security/.
Download Apache Tomcat from http://tomcat.apache.org/download-80.cgi and install it.

For production environments, it is recommended to use a separate Apache Tomcat instance for Talend Dictionary Service.
Download MinIO from this page and follow the MinIO documentation for installation, or install an S3 repository.
